NASFAT organises programmes to peaceful polls, promote good governance


Nasrul Lahi LFatih Society (NASFAT) has concluded plans to organise programmes to promote good governance in the country as the national elections is around the corner.

A statement signed by the Acting National Publicity Secretary of NASFAT. Kemi Lawal, indicates that the programme is scheduled for this weekend with the theme ‘Attainment Of Good Governance: The Joint Task of Leaders and Followers’.

According to the Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Abdul Azeez Onike, said it will commence on Friday, February 17, 2023 with a Jumat Khutbah titled: The roles of citizens in electing good leaders, the topic will be delivered as sermon across all NASFAT Jummat Service locations in Nigeria and diaspora.

The programme will continue during the Asalatu Sessions, which will hold across all NASFAT locations worldwide on Sunday, February 19, with a lecture titled ‘Making Nigeria work for all Nigerians: Our collective responsibility ‘ with special prayers for a peaceful and successful 2023 general elections.

“Similar programmes were organised prior to 2015 and 2019 general elections as part of citizenry engagement and enlightenment efforts, the group said.§
