The Chief Missioner of Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society, NASFAT, Imam Abdul-Azeez Onike, has urged people to make an impact in life by serving humanity diligently.
Onike said this in Lome, Republic of Togo, during the society’s branch inauguration in Lome, noting that it is the 179th branch inauguration of the society. He said there are about 350 branches and groups worldwide.
Speaking on the topic, ‘Making impact in life by serving humanity’, Onike said Q3:104 motivated the founding fathers of the society to establish the society.
“And from among you, there must be a party who invite people to all that is good and enjoin the doing of all that is right and forbid the doing of all that is wrong. It is they who will attain true success.”
Onike urged the new executive officers of the branch to focus on building learning centres, provision of empowerment opportunities for members, giving them access to free healthcare and holding Da’wah programmes that will improve the spiritual well-being of members.
He also enjoined members of the branch to be united, seek and follow good advice given by elders and maintain a good relationship with the headquarters.
The new executive officers to handle the affairs of the branch were also sworn in by NASFAT Second Vice President, Prof Rafiu Adegbola.
The ceremony was attended by eminent Muslims in Lome, including the Vice President of the Muslim Council, Republic of Togo, Sheikh Sanni Karimou, Iya Adinni of Togo, Rufai Sisi, representatives of various Islamic organisations in the country, delegations from NASFAT branches and zones, in Abidjan Cote d’voire; Port Novo, Benin Republic; Cotonou, Benin Republic and Accra, Ghana.
