Kano State Government has satisfied with the ongoing cooking and distribution of this year’s Ramadan feeding programme.
The Leader of the Ramadan Feeding Committee, who is also the state Commissioner of Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, made the remarks during an unscheduled visit to some cooking centers.
The centers include the Sheikh Ahmadu Tijjani Grand Friday Mosque at the Kofar Mata, Kano Technical College and Hotoro
Tsamiyar Boka.
The committee commended the cooks for ensuring adherence to all the guidelines of the cooking specification.
A stayement by Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, the Media Officer of the Committee and also the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Broadcast, revealed that during the visit Sarkin Tsaftar Kano, Alhaji Ja’afar Ahmad Gwarzo warned the cooks to ensure hygienic environment.
According to the statement, some residents commended the state government for providing free Ramadan feeding every day.
One of them, Malam Haladu Mai Itace said he depends on the free feeding to break his fast every day.
Also Zainab Garba who is widow at Hotoro Tsamiyar Boka, disclosed that the free feeding helps her to feed her six children daily.
